Players who are found to have placed bets on NFL games can face suspensions. Those found to have done so while at team or league facilities could face indefinite suspensions. Other players have received six-game bans for gambling on other sports while at work.

Colorado became the 19th state to make sports betting legal. Its first sites began taking bets in the summer of 2021. However, it still has restrictions involving in-state college games. Betting on game outcomes is permitted, but player prop bets in collegiate games are prohibited.

During the regular season, outright bets are payout based on the final league table. If a match is abandoned or postponed before a minimum of four and a half innings have been played, bets will be settled as losers. However, if a match is rescheduled for the same day and a minimum of four and a half full innings are played, all bets will stand.
