The NFL and DraftKings Join Forces For Official Betting in Sports

The NFL has been a strong supporter of official betting in sports, and the new Nashville SC stadium is about to open. The team, a third-year MLS member, has become popular in the city and has already won five games at Nissan Stadium. Its new stadium, GEODIS Park, will be a big boost for the team and its fans, as it’s a much more soccer-specific stadium than its former home.

Until a couple of years ago, NFL media partners would have been hesitant to incorporate gambling content. The NFL has since worked to understand fans’ preferences and opted not to include the team names on betting content. Fox launched its own sportsbook, Fox Bet, which marks the most aggressive push for the league in the gambling space. Other media companies are following suit, with Fox launching its own sportsbook called Fox Bet. While the NFL has been largely steadfast in avoiding betting kiosks and in-stadium gambling, it has also studied the sports gambling market and has been partnering with major betting sites to diversify its content.

DraftKings is also joining forces with the NBA as an official sports betting partner. DraftKings will be using the official NBA trademarks in its sports betting product on its website and mobile app. It will also receive official betting data, which is generated from Genius Sports and Sportradar. DraftKings is also the official betting partner of the UFC and the PGA Tour. It also owns Vegas Sports Information Network, a multiplatform broadcaster.
