Ohio Issues Conditional Licenses to Three Official Betting Operators

Official betting is a growing industry in the state of Ohio, where a sports book can be found at a grocery store, a bar, or even a casino. The state’s regulators emphasize the importance of responsible gambling and have issued conditional licenses to three companies in hopes of making Ohio a national gambling destination.

One of these operators, betPARX, has already taken advantage of its presence in the states to become an official betting partner of the PGA Tour. It will be able to take full advantage of the TOUR’s extensive intellectual property, video highlights, and marks.

The PGA TOUR is a platinum member of the National Council on Problem Gambling. They’ve also invested in a robust integrity program.

The UFC has a conduct policy that prohibits coaches from gambling on fights, and athletes’ families from betting on their children’s sporting activities. While the policy may seem a little extreme, it’s actually one of the shortest lines in the book when it comes to the legalities of sports betting.

The NFL has struck a multi-year deal with FanDuel, which is the official sports betting partner of the league. This is a big deal, as it grants both companies access to the league’s official data.

The UFC has also made headlines with a groundbreaking agreement with DraftKings. The latter company will gain the official ‘DraftKings’ brand, allowing for in-game promotions and odds generation.

While the NFL and PGA TOUR are the only American sports leagues to have signed official betting deals, other teams have jumped on the bandwagon, as well. In fact, some of the most popular teams in the world have teamed up with sportsbooks.
