NFL Signs Official Betting Deals

NFL has become the latest American sports league to sign an official betting deal. The league has announced that three sportsbooks will become official betting partners, which will give them access to league-wide data. Official betting partners also have the opportunity to promote their relationship with the league, and tie their brands to statistics. If the five-year deal works out, the NFL will receive nearly $1 billion from these deals. However, if it does not, the league has the right to opt out.

In addition to the Liberty, BetPARX is also a partner of the New York Knicks. They play home games at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, and are owned by Joe Tsai, the majority owner of the Brooklyn Nets. In November, BetMGM also became an official betting partner with the Knicks, Rangers, and Madison Square Garden. In March 2021, BetMGM and Betway announced partnerships with six NBA/NHL franchises, including the Knicks and the Nets.

During the MLB Postseason, DraftKings will be an Official Sports Betting Partner, which includes on-site brand exposure at MLB Jewel Events. During the 2021 T-Mobile Home Run Derby, DraftKings will debut its brand with on-field “Hit It Here” triggers and 2021 World Series tickets. For free-to-play pools surrounding the Home Run Derby, DraftKings will be giving away $50K in prizes for winners of each contest.
