Maryland Sports Betting Laws

The Supreme Court overturned a federal ban on sports betting in 2018, allowing states to decide whether or not to regulate the activity. Currently, Maryland is the only state to offer legal sportsbooks on mobile or in person at casinos, off-track betting facilities and FedEx Field near Washington D.C. The Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency oversees the sportbook licensing process along with the Sports Wagering Application Review Commission. FanDuel, Caesars, DraftKings, BetMGM, Barstool, PointsBet, BetRivers and locally owned Crab Sports are all licensed in the state.

For live betting, it’s important to use “official streams” from the sportsbook providers. These official streams are a few seconds behind the actual game stream, which allows bookmakers to accept bets more quickly and accurately.

For seasonal and holiday contests in Perfect Picks, specific rules may apply. These will be described within the Game, on Sponsor’s B/R Betting social media channels and/or via the prize details screen in the Game. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
