DraftKings Becomes PGA TOUR’s Official Betting Operator

DraftKings announced a new partnership with the PGA TOUR. As the first official betting operator, DraftKings will receive rights to the TOUR’s trademarks in the United States and will create and distribute pre-game betting programming. DraftKings is the fourth most popular sport on its website. NFL broadcasters are allowed to sell up to six sportsbook commercials per game, to approved operators and the league’s exclusive sportsbook partners. Other networks are also experimenting with gambling-themed broadcasts. Last year, ESPN partnered with sportsbook operator Fox Bet to produce gambling-themed content. Currently, the NFL does not allow its official betting partners to use the team’s name, although Fox has partnered with several other media companies.
